RRB NTPC 2020 Admit Card: When Will it Be Out?

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) is quite a popular recruitment exam that is conducted every year by the Railway Ministry of India. It includes vacancies for candidates for various undergraduate and graduate posts. The board has released about 35,208 vacancies for multiple positions in the year 2020. As per a notice issued by the NTPC, 1,26,30,885 candidates have applied for the exam. An RRB NTPC admit card will be issued before the examination that has to be carried by the candidates.

RRB NTPC 2020 Admit Card

The RRB NTPC 2020 admit card will be issued by RRB soon. For that, RRB will at first make an official announcement via notice. The RRB NTPC 2020 admit card will not be delivered individually to any candidate but will be available online. The admit card can be downloaded by the eligible candidates from the official website, ten days before the exam date. 

Steps to Download the RRB NTPC 2020 Admit Card

The following are the steps that a candidate needs to follow to download the RRB NTPC 2020 admit card:

Step 1– Visit RRB’s official website.

Step 2– Go to the link ‘RRB NTPC Admit Card’.

Step 3– Select the region from which you are applying for the exam. 

Step 4– Enter your Registration Number and date of birth.

Step 5– Select the ‘Submit’ option.

Step 6– Your RRB NTPC 2020 admit card will be displayed. Download the admit card and take a printout.

RRB NTPC Selection Process 2020 

The tests based on which a candidate is selected for the post of RRB NTPC 2020 are as follows:

  • The first stage of the Computer Based Test or CBT
  • The second stage of the Computer Based Test or CBT
  • A Typing Skill test
  • The Computer Based Aptitude Test (For selected posts only)
  • Verification of the documents and Medical Examinations

  • This stage is of a screening nature. The standard of the questions is based on the basic educational criteria required for the individual posts.
  • Clearing the RRB NTPC Stage 1 Exam requires candidates to get a minimum marking percentage. This percentage depends on the category to which a candidate belongs: 40% for UR, 30% for the OBC and SC, 25% for the ST and 40% for EWS.
  • The exam duration is of 120 marks for the PWD candidates. 
  • For each wrong answer given there will be negative marking. ⅓ marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Clearing the first stage would imply that the candidate has been selected for the second stage of the RRB NTPC Exam.

  • While the exam duration for the general candidates is 90 minutes, the PwD candidates are given 120 minutes to complete the paper.
  • Normalization of marks will be done for every candidate.
  • In case a candidate gives a wrong answer to a question, there is a provision of negative marking. ⅓ marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • The standard of questions depends on the necessary qualification required for each post.

Computer-Based Aptitude Test or CBAT for RRB NTPC

This test is only for those candidates who have applied for the post of Station Master and Traffic Assistant. To qualify this test, a candidate needs to obtain at least 42 marks. This is for all the candidates, not taking into consideration any category or community. There is no provision of negative marking in this test.

Typing Skill Test or TST

A typing skill test is qualifying in nature. In this test, the candidate has to type 30 words in a minute in English or 25 words in a minute in Hindi.
